Good for moving furniture

I got an Electric Stair Climbing Hand Truck a few weeks ago for moving some heavy dressers. It really made a difference, way easier than trying to muscle them up the stairs myself. It felt pretty solid, and the battery held up fine for the whole job. Overall, I'm happy with it.

Detailed thoughts on my new climber

I ordered the Portable Stair Climbing Robot a month ago. The ordering process was simple enough on their website. It arrived in about 6 business days, which was reasonable. Unboxing and initial setup were mostly intuitive, though I did watch a couple of videos online to be sure I was doing it right. I've used it for moving a few washing machines and some heavy boxes up and down residential stairs. It handles the weight capacity fine, and the battery life is decent for a day's work, usually needing a charge overnight. The controls are responsive. My only minor suggestion would be for a slightly larger toe plate, but the Extension Plates are available, which I might look into. It's a significant upgrade from a standard hand truck.

Solid machine, minor issue

I bought the Heavy-duty Stair Climber for my small moving business. The build quality is excellent, and it handles large appliances like fridges without much fuss. Delivery was pretty quick, about 4 days to get here. My only small complaint is that the instruction manual could be a bit clearer on some of the maintenance steps. Otherwise, it's a good piece of equipment and definitely saves my back.

Worth the investment

I was looking for a Powered Stair Climber for a while, keeping an eye on different sites. XSTO had a holiday promotion, and I ended up getting a decent discount on one. It felt like a good deal, especially considering what these things usually cost. The delivery was straightforward, and it arrived without any issues. It's definitely made moving bulky items around much less of a headache. For the price I paid, I think I got good value.

Hey, thinking about grabbing one of these for my moving biz. Are they legit or just some knockoff brand? Seen some really cheap ones elsewhere but these look good.

S Sam 2 months ago
Yeah, they're legit. I've had their heavy-duty model for about a year now, moves fridges and safes no problem. Build quality is solid, definitely not a cheap knockoff.

They're a real company, not some fly-by-night. I think they manufacture their own stuff, or at least that's what I gathered from their site. Been around for a bit from what I can tell.

Do these things actually handle really heavy stuff? Like a 300-pound commercial oven? Worried it'll just struggle on stairs.

J Julia T. 2 months ago
Dude, they're designed for it. Most of their models are rated for hundreds of KG. I've moved stuff heavier than a commercial oven with mine, it's pretty impressive how easily it goes up.

Mine says it can do 420KG, which is like 900+ lbs. An oven should be fine. Just make sure you get the right model for that weight.

How do these compare to a Liftkar? I've used Liftkars before and they're solid, but XSTO looks a bit more affordable for similar specs. Worth the switch?

E Elena Okafor 1 month ago
I haven't used a Liftkar but my buddy has one and says the XSTO is pretty comparable, maybe a bit clunkier feeling but does the job just as well for heavy stuff. Plus, parts seem easier to get for XSTO.

If you're looking at price, XSTO usually beats out Liftkar. Functionality-wise, they're both good for what they do, depends on your specific needs but XSTO holds its own.

Anyone know how long shipping usually takes for a stair climber to, say, Miami? Need it kinda quick for a new contract.

A Andre Kim 2 months ago
My last order (just an accessory kit) took about a week to get to Florida. For a full unit, I'd probably add a few extra days, but you could always hit them up for an exact estimate.

Yeah, I'm in GA and got mine in about 5-6 business days. Miami might be similar. They're usually pretty good about getting stuff out.

Thinking of getting the tracked version but it's a bit pricey. Any chance of a Black Friday type discount coming up soon? Or do they do other big sales?

J James Okafor 2 months ago
They definitely do sales around holidays. Black Friday/Cyber Monday is a safe bet for a decent chunk off. I got my battery pack cheaper during their Labor Day promo last year.

Yeah, check around seasonal peaks. I've seen them do like $100-200 off the big units during those times. Might be worth waiting if you're not in a super rush.
